Terms of Service

The agreement between you and Scholarship Alert. It is deliberately short, and the part that matters most is the second section.
What Scholarship Alert is — and is not
Scholarship Alert finds funded opportunities, checks them against the official provider page, tells you where you stand against the stated criteria, and keeps track of deadlines.
It is not an application service. It will help you draft — the Writing section asks you questions about a specific opportunity and assembles a first draft of a motivation letter, personal statement, essay or reference request out of your own answers. The content is yours, and it never submits anything on your behalf.
It does not predict whether you will win. The Fit score means relevance and readiness — how well a program matches your background and how prepared you are for it. It is not a probability of being awarded, and nothing in the app should be read as one.
Accuracy, and who has the last word
We verify every published record against an official provider or application page, and we show you the source and the date it was last checked. Aggregators and forum posts are treated as leads only.
Even so, the provider's own page is always authoritative. Providers change deadlines, criteria and funding without notice. Check the official page before you rely on anything — and if you find a record that is wrong or out of date, please tell us, because that is how the catalog stays honest.
Eligibility states are our reading of the criteria as published. They are guidance, not a decision by the provider. Only the provider decides who is eligible.
Your account
You need an account for personalized matches. Keep your credentials to yourself, give us accurate information, and do not create accounts to get around plan limits or trial allowances. One person, one account.
Plans, the trial, and payment
Free
The verified directory, full opportunity details, official application links, saving, the tracker, readiness checklists and calendar export are free and stay free. Free accounts also receive up to three new personalized matches a week and five link checks a day.
The trial
Pro starts with seven days free. The trial begins when your first personalized matches are produced, not when you create an account. It does not require a payment method and it does not turn into a paid subscription by itself. When it ends you return to Free with your profile, saved opportunities and tracker intact.
Pro
Pro is sold as a subscription through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Prices are shown in your local currency before purchase and vary by country. Payment is taken by the store, renewal is automatic until you cancel, and cancellations and refunds are handled by the store, not by us — we cannot refund a store purchase directly.
Pro limits — including ten live searches and twenty-five link checks per day — exist to prevent abuse and control cost. They are not consumable credits you have bought, and unused allowance does not carry over.
Promo codes
A promo code grants Pro for a set period. Codes are single-use per account, may expire, may be limited in number, and can be withdrawn if obtained or used improperly. A code does not create a paid subscription and does not renew.
Before launch: confirm the price, the exact Pro period lengths and the refund wording against your App Store Connect configuration.
Acceptable use
- Do not scrape, bulk-download or resell the catalog.
- Do not use the link checker or live search to attack, overload or probe other sites.
- Do not upload anyone else's CV or personal data without their agreement.
- Do not attempt to bypass plan limits, trials or promo code restrictions.
- Do not use the service for anything unlawful.
We may suspend an account that does these things.
Your content
Your CV and profile remain yours. You give us only the permission needed to run the service for you — to parse, store and use them to produce your matches. We do not publish them, sell them, or use them to train third-party models.
Availability
This is a live service that depends on external sources and providers. It may be unavailable, and features may change or be withdrawn. Core browsing, saved items and the tracker are designed to keep working when live AI, ranking or push are not.
Liability
Scholarship Alert is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for a missed deadline, a rejected application, a changed criterion, a provider's decision, or any loss of an opportunity. Deciding what to apply for, and confirming it against the official page, remains yours.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and nothing here affects consumer rights you have under the law of your own country.
Ending it
You may delete your account at any time from Settings. We may close an account that breaches these terms. If we close yours without cause, you keep any unused paid period.
