Delete your account
Scholarship Alert is made by SoloForge LLC. This page explains how to delete your account, what is removed when you do, and what we are required to keep.
Delete it yourself, in the app
Open Settings, then tap Delete account, then confirm. That is the whole process. It takes effect immediately and cannot be undone.
If you cannot sign in
Email: info@scholarshipalert.app with the subject Delete my account.
Send it from the email address on the account so we can confirm it is yours. We will delete it and write back to confirm, normally within two working days and at most within 30 days.
What is deleted
Everything tied to your account, permanently:
- Your profile, including any details taken from a CV you uploaded, and its edit history
- The CV file itself
- Saved opportunities, dismissed matches, and your application tracker and milestones
- Scout conversations and any writing drafts
- Notification settings and the device tokens used to send you alerts
- Your sign-in credentials and the account record itself
Deletion removes these from the live service straight away. It is not a deactivation and there is no recovery window, so export anything you want to keep first — ask us and we will send your profile and tracker data in a machine-readable format.
What is kept, and why
Records of payments are kept where the law requires it. Subscriptions are billed by Apple and Google rather than by us, so those receipts live with the store you bought through and are governed by their retention rules, not ours. Our own billing records hold the transaction, not your profile.
Aggregate, non-identifying counts already folded into product statistics stay, because they can no longer be connected back to you.
Deleting the account is not the same as cancelling
If you have a Pro subscription, cancel it in the store first — deleting your account here does not stop billing, because we are not the ones charging you. On iPhone: Settings, tap your name, Subscriptions. On Android: Play Store, Menu, Subscriptions. If you only want the emails to stop, turn notifications off in Settings instead of deleting.
